It is required that the DOMAIN name you choose be your surname
(to which wattle.id.au will be automatically added, of course).

The PHONE, FAX, and POSTAL addresses are optional, but it is
required that you fill in at least one of them (in case you are
no longer contactable via The Internet) and strongly recommended 
that you include at least two (especially since you might move
house or work later and forget to tell me, although I do have a
policy of confirming your details every year).

The "DNS" section is used if you know exactly what information
you want to be inserted into the DNS (an MX or a CNAME).  This
is optional, in case you're not sure or want to wait until the
domain name has been approved.

Please note though that the only point of an application form is to
have information entered into the DNS.  So if you do not have some
way of eventually working out what information you want added to
the DNS, then this is about as useful as applying for a pet rock.

The "CONFID" keyword indicates whether the information in your
form is confidential.  If you do not specify, it is assumed to
be mostly confidential and will be treated as such.

In most cases it will be best to accept the default (mostly)
so that your personal details are confidential (accessible only
to the wattle.id.au administrator and the person who keeps the backup copy
of the database), except in specific cases where there is an
authenticated third party with a "need to know".

If you select strictly, then phone/fax/address details will
not even be confirmed to you by E-mail (as they would normally be),
for security reasons, and it will be assumed that you are generally
paranoid about such information becoming known.

Note that comments after a # sign are not to be included, they are
simply for illustration.

You may leave blank any of the fields marked optional above.

Once you have read these instructions, you should submit your details
using the html form.

If you do not have WWW access or there is some other reason why you cannot
submit using the above html form, then you may use the following section as
a template, and return the rest of this information to hostmaster at nic.wattle.id.au
after filling it out.

If you submit details without using the html form, then you will not
receive a key which you need if you want to make changes to your
information in the future.
